It surprised no one when I became a hairstylist; as a child I was creative, artistic, and very social. A new box of crayons was the perfect gift for me. I loved to color and create but also wasn’t afraid of getting dirty. By the time I was in high school I was doing all my friend’s hair, so it was a natural choice for me to go to cosmetology school. At the age of 17  I fell in love with this industry, and like a true love story, I fall in love with it a little more every day!

It’s been twenty years since I started cosmetology school and still I am very passionate and driven in my career. Education keeps me motivated to keep up on the trending styles and techniques. Becoming an instructor in 2011 and a brand educator for L’ANZA Healing Haircare in 2017 has dramatically increased my love for this industry! When I am not behind the chair working with my amazing clients, I am traveling and spreading the love for a haircare brand I truly believe in. Nothing makes me more excited than learning a new technique, product, or formula to bring back to the salon to share with coworkers and clients. When my clients leave the salon feeling confident and beautiful, I feel accomplished.

If I’m not in the salon creating beautiful styles for my clients or educating stylist on the new trends and products, I’m helping run our food truck with my husband or home with our pets. I love to cook and entertain almost as much as I love to do hair. I'm always watching Food Network and searching Pinterest for new recipes to try. Even though I can be very social and outgoing I always prefer to be home binge watching Netflix!
